Heart Attack

A heart attack is a problem that occurs when the flow of blood to the heart is blocked. There are various reasons why the flow of blood is stopped are follows:-

  • High cholesterol level 
  •  High blood pressure.
  •  Diabetes
  • Overweight
  • Physically inactive

According to research, we find that in 2019 heart disease is responsible for 16% of the world’s total deaths. Since 2000, the largest increase in deaths has been for this disease, rising by more than 2 million to 8.9 million deaths in 2019.

  • Pressure, tightness, pain, or a squeezing or aching sensation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or back
  • Nausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain

Stroke

Stroke is a disease it occurs when the brain is blocked or leaks. This is a crucial disease and it is necessary to take action instantly to reduce brain damage and other complications.

Symptoms of stroke

There are some of the common side effects that are seen on patients of stroke-

  • Weakness in the face, arm, or leg.
  • Difficult in speaking and understanding.
  • difficulty in seeling in both eyes.
  • difficulty in walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or lack of coordination.
  • Serve headache.

Note:- Stroke treatment can be work only if the stroke is recognized and diagnosed within 3 hours of the first symptoms.

If anyone feels that he/she has a stroke then Act FAST and do the following simple task:-

F—Face: Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

A-Arms: Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?

S—Speech: Ask the person to repeat a simple phrase. Is the speech slurred or strange?

T—Time: If you see any of these signs, call 9-1-1 right away.

  • In some cases, a person may need to visit the hospital to receive IV fluids, antibiotics, or breathing support.

According to the American Lung Association, a healthy young adult can recover from a lower respiratory tract infection, such as pneumonia, in around 1 week. For older adults, it may take several weeks to make a full recovery.
